Abstract

The purpose of this study was 1) to find out the effect of unemployment, educators numbered residents in a multicultural approach to poverty in the city of Kupang. 2) To find out the effect of unemployment, educators number a number of people who are willing to face poverty in the city of Kupang. Research uses Quantitative Data, the type of data that can be obtained in numbers. The data sources used in this study are Secondary Data which are data that are obtained indirectly, both in the literature and in the literature related to research on books, the internet and others. There are 56 samples in this study then processed using Eviews 10 and analyzed using regression models and inferential statistics with four tests namely 1) Test classic assumptions 2) Multiple regression analysis 3) Hypothesis test 4) Analysis of the coefficient of determination (R^2). The results of the study were obtained: the variables of Unemployment, Education, Number of Population simultaneously have a good effect on Poverty in the City of Kupang. Unemployment, partially has a positive and not significant effect on the variable poverty in Kupang City, education partially has a negative effect and is not significant towards the variability of poverty in the city of Kupang. Whereas the variable number of population is influentially influential on the positivity and significance of the Poverty variable in Kota Kupang. And from adjusted R2 the probability of dependence in explaining poverty in the City of Kota is 32.62% and 67.38% will be explained by other non-circular variables in th is study. By looking at the unemployed number of population, it is suggested that the Government be expected to facilitate the employment of entrepreneurs so that greater employment opportunities for all workers are absorbed, and stress the growth of population by implementing Family Planning (KB) programs to communities to reduce the number of poor population in Kupang City. And for education the community is expected to be more educated and more difficult in education. Because of the high level of education, it will improve the welfare of the people to reduce poverty in the city of Kupang.
