Abstract

The purpose of this research is to described the ability of mathematical communication in problem solving. The kind of descriptive qualitative. A subject in this research were 3 students of class VIII C SMP NEGERI 20 KUPANG. Third students were chosen based on the high skill, medium and low, then level researchers give an assignment to a bout the a problem solvings and interviews to subject . Checking the validity of data used triangulation. Data research the obtaindd data obtained as follows: the subject with the hish level ability can of solve the step of the problem revealed step’s in working on , capable of being proved a step or what is the formula that is used and capable of being explained the settlement thing from beginning to end.The subject with the medium level of capability of being capable of being revealed step’s in working on , capable of being proved a step or what is the formula that is used and capable of being explained the return of process the rush for the local unit to the sluggish process of comprehensive. The subject with the low level capable of being revealed step’s in working on , capable of being proved a step or what is the formula that is used and capable of being explain the settlement thing from beginning to end.
