Abstract
The purpose of the research is to know the problem solving of mathematics students and to know whether solving mathematical problem through model of problem posing problem can take place well on subject of algebra factoring in class VIIIa SMP N 6 Kupang City academic year 2018/2019. This research was a descriptive kuantitatif study with preteset – posttest control grup desain. The sampel in this research is students clas VIIIa which the numbered of students are 25 people. Data used inthis research are pretest and posttest value data from experiment class with problem posing learning model. The data obtained with analysed using SPSS program 22.0 version. The test was analysed by normality test with using ne sample KolmogorovSmirnov and hypothesis testing using paired sample test, after the data were analysed obtained value Sig. (2tailed) = 0,000 < 0,05 and thitung =27,679 > 2,060 = ttabel . The result of this research are: (1) the implementation of problem posing model in class VIII is good; (2) mathematical problem solving through problem posing learning model is well achieved; (3) a significant mathematical problem solving through learning problem posing model algebra factoring subject in class VIII SMP N 6 cities Kupang academic year 2018/2019. Therefore, the authors suggest for teachers to use problem posing learning model on learning in classroom in accordance with the material being taught.
