Abstract

Himpunan Mahasiswa Program Studi Teknik Informatika (HMPS TI) Universitas Katolik Widya Mandira (Unwira) Kupang is a student organization under the Faculty of Engineering, Informatic Engineering Program. This organization overshadow every student activities that are non-academic or extracurricular. As the internal organization of student affairs, HMPS IT membership consists of any active student. Total HMPS IT members in 2016 amounted to 434 by the number of stewards as many as 43 people. Based on these data, HMPS IT administrators find it difficult to collect and disseminate information such members or when the meeting is held the organization's activities. Therefore it is necessary engineered an application dissemination of information, so that every organizational activity information may be disseminated or distributed to each member. This is done for each activity the organization has a high level of participation and can work effectively. The method used in this study Waterfall Structured Programming Model for the development of software engineering. Waterfall model has five stages, namely analysis, design, coding, testing and maintenance. This application is built using the PHP programming language and MySQL database. In this research, the dissemination of information generated application-based SMS Gateway which serves as a medium of coordination between the board and members as well as a medium for spreading information that could reach all members of the HMPS IT easily and quickly.
