Abstract

The development of tourism especially in Southwest Sumba Regency is still very slow. One of them caused by the delivery of tourism information that is not maximized, such as the absence of media information that specifically promotes attractions in Southwest Sumba. The information created by the Tourism Department of West Sumba are less effective for the presentation of the information to be combined with the analysis of spatial data as well as data attributes using GIS (Geographic Information System) in order to produce a web- based integrated information. Based on the problems above, as for the purpose of making this program is to give convenience to visitors to access information tourist sites and public facilities in Southwest Sumba Regency. System development method used in building information systems are the Waterfall method that consists of several stages namely stage of analysis, design, implementation, testing and maintenance. The system is designed using the PHP programming language and design using Macromedia Dreamweaver and MySQL as data storage. Results obtained from the making of this application is to use the interactive map features taken from google map so visitors can see and find a route to the tourist sites and other supporting facilities quickly.
