Abstract

Motivation is a situation that is in a person that causes a person to do the certain activities to achieve the certain goals. Process Skill Approach is defined as the process skills approach in the learning process that focuses on the activity and creativity of learners to develop physical and mental abilities that have been held to a higher level in the acquisition process of learning. The main problem in this research is "How the Influence of Motivation on Learning Outcomes Approach in Application Process Skill Subject Matter of Calorific for Students of SMA Negeri 7 Kupang Grade X A in the Academic Year of 2015/2016". Specifically the problems in this research are: (1) How is the ability of teacher to manage the learning by applying the skill approach? (2) How is the completeness of Learning Outcomes Indicator (LOI) in learning by applying the Process Skill Approach? (3) How is learning outcomes in learning by applying Process Skill Approach? (4) How is the description students’ motivation? The aim of this study is to know the result of the influence of motivation on learning outcomes by applying the skill approach. Specifically the purpose of this research are: (1) To describe the teacher's ability to manage the learning by applying the skills approach. (2) To describe the completeness of learning indicator outcomes in learning by applying the skills approach process. (3) To describe the results of learning in the learning process by applying the skill approach process. (4) To describe the motivation of learners. The study are descriptive and association. Subjects in this study were students of SMA Negeri 7 Kupang grade XA in second semester numbers 33 students and teacher (researcher). Techniques used in data collection were observation, tests and questionnaires. Learning device used in this study were syllabus, lesson plan, student worksheet, teaching material and achievement test. Techniques used in analyzing the data were descriptive and inferential techniques. The result showed that the application of process skills approach can be applied to the subject matter of calorific students grade XA SMA Negeri 7 Kupang and there was a significant influence between motivation on learning outcomes. Specifically the results of the study showed that: (1) The ability of teacher to manage the learning activities that include planning, implementation and evaluation by applying the process skills approach of the subject matter calorific was good. This was evidenced by the results obtained in the following: the planning phase the average score obtained was 3.96, the implementation phase, the average score obtained was 3.94, the evaluation phase the average score obtained was 3.71. (2) Indicators of learning outcomes in learning activities that apply the process skills approach of the subject matter calorific were clear and finished with the average proportion of product completeness indicator 0.89, the indicator process 0.99, affective indicator 0.91, and the indicator of psychomotor 0. 87 (3) Learning outcomes (product, process, affective and psychomotor) learning by applying process skills approach the subject matter of calorific was complet because more than 80% of the number of students getting the proportions above 0.75 with the average proportion for achievement test product, processe, affective and psychomotor are respectively 0.90; 0.99; 0.94; and 0.85. (4) Based on the data analysis above, it can be said that all indicators are questionnaire as very good because the average proportion of the four indicators more than 80% that was 81.5% and the data can reveal that all the indicators reached. While the students motivation can be said that the average of the total number of students in the classroom have a very high/very motivated motivation.It is characterized by average proportion more than 80%, that was 82%. (5) There was a significant relationship between motivation towards the study of students grade XA SMA Negeri 7 Kupang in the academic year of 2015/2016. This is evidenced by tcount > ttable it means that tcount = 5.223 > ttable = 2.039. Motivation gives donations or contributions to the learning outcomes 46.8% and the regression equation is Y = 35.251 + 0.665X
