Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is influence aggressiveness on mathematics achievement of high school students. The sample in this study is all students of class X Private High School PGRI Kupang, amounting to 24 people. The data used in this research is the data of achievement test and aggressiveness questionnaire from all students of class X. The data obtained will be analyzed using SPSS program version 22.0. Prior to hypothesis testing, a prerequisite test is performed for normality test for achievement test data and aggressiveness questionnaire data. From the analysis result for achievement test data, the value of Asymp.Sig. (2-tailed) = 0,064> 0,05 = α and Dcount = 0,172 <0,269 = Dtable then H0 is accepted and it is concluded that the data is normally distributed. While the aggressive questionnaire data obtained obtained by Asymp.Sig. (2-tailed) = 0,200> 0,05 = α and Dcount = 0,121 <0,269 = Dtable then H0 accepted, and concluded that the data is normally distributed. Hypothesis testing using SPSS program version 22.0, after the data were analyzed obtained Sig value (2-tailed) = 0,000 <0,05 = α and tcount = 7,771 > 1.71387 = ttable then reject H0, thus concluded that there is a significant effect of aggressiveness on mathematics achievement of high school students. The results of this study showed that aggressiveness affect the mathematics learning achievement. Therefore, the authors suggest for teachers that in learning to better understand the aggressive behavior of each student so that the students can get a good achievement.
