Abstract

Student Association (HMPS) is a student organization that works to plan and carry out extracurricular activities at the department level. Therefore all work programs that are inside should really be realized and developed a real and thorough. One work program is an election management HMPS. In a period of one year always held the election process to replace the Chairman of the Student Association. Constraints commonly faced during the election was the lack of participation of students to come to follow the electoral process so that the Chairman of the Student Association is very influential at the time of the election. Based on the constraints that happens, then made the selection of Web-based applications that can help students who can not participate directly to elect the head of HMPS quickly, effectively and efficiently. Chairman of the Selection Application Student Association (HMPS) is using programming tools PHP with MySQL database and the Waterfall method. Advantages possessed by this system is making application to the chairman of the Student Association elections makes it easy for students to choose the chairman of the Student Association, adds to the interest of students to participate in the electoral process Student Association chairman, save costs, simplify and accelerate the process of election of the chairman of HMPS.
