Abstract

Cognitive style is the way that each individual in obtaining, respond to and process the information received so as to master the information properly. The learning model is based on the problem (problem based instruction) is a learning model that specializes learners to study an authentic materials to investigate problems that occur in their surroundings and then find a solution to the problem is based on the discovery that he is doing himself. The main problem in this research is there Influence of Cognitive Styles Of Learning Results by Applying Model Based Learning Problems (Problem Based Instruction) Main Material Heat on Learners classes SMPK VIID St. Theresia Kupang Academic Year 2015/2016? Specifically, the problem in this study were (1) How is the ability of teachers to manage learning by applying the learning model based on problem (problem based instruction)? (2) How completeness indicator is achieved by applying the learning model based on problem (problem based instruction)? (3) How is the study of students by applying the learning model based on problem (problem based instruction)? (4) How would you describe the cognitive styles of learners in the classroom VIID SMPK St.Theresia Kupang academic year 2015/2016? (5) Is there a significant relationship between cognitive style on learning outcomes of students SMPK St. Theresia Kupang academic year 2015/2016? Based on the formulation of the problem, so that the goal of this research is to describe the style and Investigate Effect Against Cognitive Learning Results by Applying Model Based Learning Problems (Problem Based Instruction) Main Material Heat on Learners classes SMPK VIID St. Theresia Kupang Academic Year 2015/2016. Specifically the purpose of this study were (1) to describe the teacher's ability to manage learning by applying the learning model based on problem (problem based instruction), (2) Describe the completeness of indicators achieved by applying the learning model based on problem (problem based instruction), (3 ) Describe the learning outcomes of students by applying the learning model based on problem (problem based instruction), (4) Describe the cognitive styles of learners class VIID SMPK St. Theresia Kupang academic year 2015/2016, (5) Investigate the effect of cognitive style on learning outcomes of students SMPK St. Theresia Kupang academic year 2015/2016. This type of research is descriptive and associative study with a sample of learners class VIID SMPK St.Theresia Kupang totaling 30 people. The instrument used in this study is a test to determine the cognitive styles of learners, learning management observation sheet by applying the learning model based on the problem (PBI), tests of learning outcomes. Data analysis techniques used in this research is descriptive analysis and inferential analysis. From the analysis we concluded that, (1) The ability of teachers to manage learning by applying the learning model based on problem (problem based instruction) Topic Heat on Learners classes SMPK VIID St.Theresia Kupang, considered good. (2) For Indicator Results Learning, of the seven indicators of cognitive achievement are prepared, there are two indicators are saying is not completely finished, while six other indicators. (3) Results of learners as a whole is said to be complete in cognitive, affective, and psychomotor. (4) For the cognitive styles of learners class VIID SMPK St.Theresia Kupang 5 people belonging to the field dependent cognitive style and 25 other students who belong to the field independent cognitive style. (5) cognitive style affect the results of the regression equation Y = 64.083 + 1,295X and contributions are donated cognitive style (X) on learning outcomes (Y) of 20.6%
