Abstract

This research was motivated by the empirical facts in the process of teaching and learning and the results of observations and interviews conducted by researchers at the catholic high school giovannikupang. Inquiry approach is a technique or learning strategies teachers can use to stimulate learners or learners to actively seek,researchand find yourself solving the problem of knowledge being studied. The purpose of this study is (1) To determine the effectiveness of guided inquiry approach to learning the results of the chemical in thesubject matter solubility and solubility product class XI MIPA 2 high school of catholic Giovanni Kupang academic of year 2015/2016. (2) To determine the ability of numerical and verbal skills students of class XI MIPA 2 high school of catholic Giovanni Kupangacademic of year 2015/2016. (3) To determine whether there is a relationship numerical skills and verbal skills with the learning outcomes of studentsclass xi mipa 2 high school of catholic Giovanni Kupang academic of year 2015/2016. (4) To determine whether there is influence of numerical skills and verbal skills to the learning outcomes of learners classxi MIPA 2 high school of catholic Giovanni Kupang academic of year 2015/2016. This type of research is descriptive and associative. Population and sample are learnersclassxi MIPA 2 high school of catholic Giovanni Kupang academic of year2015/2016. The instruments used were observation sheet the ability of teachers manage learning, observation sheets and questionnaires spiritual attitude of self-assessment (KI 1) and social attitudes (KI 2), achievement test in the form of quizzes, assignments and replay on knowledge (KI 3), psychomotor observation sheets, presentations and portfolio assessment sheet for the aspect of skill (KI 4), about tests of numerical ability and verbal ability test questions. Based on the analysis of data and discussion can be concluded that: (1) Guided inquiry approach to the learning outcomes of chemical effectively in the subject matter solubility and solubility product of learners class XI MIPA 2 high school of catholic Giovanni Kupang academic of year 2015/2016. (2a) There was a significant relationship between numerical ability with the study of students with guided inquiry approach to the subject matter solubility and solubility product with a correlation pearson product moment (r) 0,365 included in the low level of relationship and contributed as much 13,32%. (2b) there was a significant relationship between verbal skills with the results of studying chemistry with guided inquiry approach to the subject matter solubility and solubility product with a correlation pearson product moment (r) 0,493 fall under the relationship is strong enough and contributed as much 24,3 %. (2c) There was a significant relationship between the ability of numerical and verbal ability learners with learning outcomes by implementing chemistry guided inquiry approach to the subject matter solubility and solubility product with a correlation 0,5408 fall under the relationship is strong enough and contributed as much 29,24 %. (3a) There is the influence of numerical ability significantly to the study of students with guided inquiry approach to the subject matter solubility and solubility product with the regression equation obtained . (3b) There is the influence ofthe significant verbal skills against the findings of studying chemistry checklists verify with the guided inquiry approach to the subject matter of commercial articles solubility solubility kali the lead with a regression equation (3c) There is the influence ofnumerical ability and verbal skills learners significantly against the findings of studying chemistry checklists verify with the guided inquiry approach to the subject matter of commercial articles solubility solubility kali with regression value 0,540 and contributes to the learning outcomes for 29,16% the regression equations
