Abstract
Based on these problems, the aim of this research is to describe the result in implementing discovery model in law Newton and the change at seventhgrade students of SMPN 4 in 2016/2017. The spesific aims are: 1). To describe teachers competence in managing learning by implementing discovery learning model students of class VIII ESMPN 4 in 2016/2017. 2). Describe indicator result students in learning students of class VIII ESMPN 4 in 2016/2017. 3). Describe the learning result students by implementing discovery model students of class VIII ESMPN 4 in 2016/2017. 4). Describe students respond in learning students of class VIII ESMPN 4 in 2016/2017?. This type of research is descriptive . The population is all the seventhgradestudents of SMPN 4 Kupang. The sample is seventhgrade students of class G with the total is 30 students. The techniques used in the research are observation, test and questionare. In the research, the students material in used. Besides material, the sylabus, lesson plan, students worksheet, students discussion and questions test are used as well. The instrumen used are observation sheet and result test. The technique used in descriptive (by calculating of rate score, proportional and pereentage). The results showed that 1) The ability of teachers to manage learning by applying the learning model of discovery learning in students of class VIIIE SMPN 4 Kupang is good with the acquisition the average score in a row for the planning stage of learning, the implementation phase of learning and evaluation phase of learning is 3,51; 3.94 and 3,88 are in both categories. 2) Indicators learning outcomes of students all finished in learning activities by applying the learning model of discovery learning in students of class VIIIE SMPN 4 Kupang with an average proportion of completeness to the outcome indicators 0.84 cognitive learning, affective learning results indicators divided into two aspects: on the spiritual aspects of 0.92 and for the scientific aspects, fund psychomotor learning outcomes indicators 0.78 In the category completely. 3) Results of learners by applying the learning model of discovery learning students of class VIIIE SMPN 4 Kupang is completed with an average proportion of 0.80 cognitive achievement test, the test results of affective 0,88 and psychomotor 0.92, in the category completely. 4) The students respond in learning with presentase 90,8, it is very high of discovery in students of class VIIIE SMPN 4 Kupang.
