Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out: 1) The description of the variables of employee performance, work motivation, education and training, mutation, employee placement, and leadership in Office of Harbor and Port Authority Class III Kupang. 2) The effect of education and training, transfer, employee placement, and leadership on employee work motivation in Office of Harbor and Port Authority Class III Kupang. 3) The influence of the influence of education and training, transfer, employee placement, leadership and work motivation on Employee Performance in Office of Harbor and Port Authority Class III Kupang. The sample of this study was 70 employees at Office of Harbor and Port Authority Class III Kupang. The analysis technique uses the SmartPLS application. The results of the descriptive statistical analysis showed that the variables of employee performance, work motivation, education and training, mutation, employee placement, and leadership in the Office of Harbor and Port Authority Class III Kupang were quite good. The results of the path analysis show that education and training, transfer, employee placement, and leadership have a positive and significant effect on work motivation variables. Furthermore, mutation, employee placement, and leadership have a positive and significant effect on performance variables, but education and training, and work motivation have no significant effect on performance. The results of the coefficient of determination (R2) states that, the contribution of the variables of work motivation, education and training, mutation, employee placement and leadership to performance is 79.4% ,. Furthermore, the contribution of education and training, mutation, employee placement and leadership variables to work motivation was 73.1%. Based on the results of this study, it can be suggested to the management Office of Harbor and Port Authority Class III Kupang to increase work motivation, especially on indicators of remuneration, working conditions, recognition from superiors and the work itself; improve education and training, especially on indicators of instructor skills; training methods and equipment; improve and improve the mutation system in Office of Harbor and Port Authority Class III Kupang; increase the placement of employees in Office of Harbor and Port Authority Class III Kupang, especially on indicators of educational background, work experience and marital status; and enhance leadership in Office of Harbor and Port Authority Class III Kupang, especially on indicators that prioritize group interests, communicative, respect for achievement, ability to control work flow.
