Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between motivation and employee performance at the Oebobo Sub-District Office, Kupang City. The problem studied is wheter there is a positive and significant relationship between motivation and employee performance at the Oebobo Sub-District Office, Kupang City. The form or type of this research is exploratory and is suppoerted by data obtained from the result of processing questionnaire data and observation data. The data analysis technique started from distributing questionnaires to respondents, then processing the data with validity tests, reliability tests, product moment correlation tests, the simple regression coefficient test (t) significance tests, and regression tests. From the research results show that in calculating the product moment correlation coefficient, the result is that the correlation coefficient (r) is 0,257. Which is shown from the correlation coefficient (r) shows that the level of correlation is low and positively related, which means that if the external motivation variable increases, the employee’s performance will also increase.
