Abstract

This research aimed to analyze factors that influence the implementation of Hospital Management Information System (SIMRS) at RSU MAMAMI Kupang. The type of the research is quantitative research. The population is 144 respondents and the samples is 106. It applied primary data as the source of research. Data collection is carried out by questionnaire. Data analysis technique used is descriptive and inferential statistical analysis. The result of inferential statistical analysis showed that work culture had no significant effect on the implementation of hospital management information system (SIMRS), age had no significant effect on the implementation of hospital management information system (SIMRS), work experience had no significant effect on the implementation of hospital management information system (SIMRS), tool specification had significant effect on the implementation of hospital management information system (SIMRS), human resources competence had significant effect on the implementation of hospital management information system (SIMRS), work culture had significant effect on human resourcese competence, age had significant effect on human resourcese competence, work experience had no significant effect on human resourcese competence, human resource competence was not able to mediate the influence of work culture on the application of hospital management information system (SIMRS), human resource competence was not able to mediate the influence of work experience on the application of hospital management information system (SIMRS), and human resource competence was able to mediate the influence of age on the application of hospital management information system (SIMRS). The cooficient of dtermination for SIMRS implementation variable was 0,780 and for the human resource competence was 0,705. This score explained that the contribution of work culture, age, work experience, human resources competence and tool specification variables to the implementation of SIMRS was 78 % and the contribution of work culture, age and work experience variables to the human resources competence was 70 %. The suggestions could be listed as follows: hospital management pays attention to factors that support or hinder the implementation of SIMRS; SIMRS development in other service units to support hospital operation and assist decision making at the management level; supervise the implementation of SIMRS at RSU Mamami on a regular basisin order to increase customer satisfaction and the performance of the hospital; pay atttention to and improve tha factors that do not support the implementation of SIMRS at RSU Mamami Kupang namely work culture, age, and officers’ working experience; and for the next researcher may analyze variables with no significant influence to the implementaition of SIMRS at RSU Mamami Kupang, and may also add other variables not examined in this research such as: compensation, leadership, employee performance, organization performance, etc.
