Abstract

The electronic commerce model, business to customer where the goods are directly marketted through the internet to the consumers, has become the preferred method by many modern day consumers and the trend is ever growing. Apart from trading through it’s physical store, Empah shop also promotes fashion goods through online social media such as Blackberry Messenger (BBM group). However, due to the limitation that BBM group has of a maximum of 50 members, Empah shop has yet to reach all of it’s customers. The solution is to create an online based e-commerce application to boots the sales of Empah shop’s fashion goods. This e-commerce application will be developed using PHP with Mysql as the database. The development methodology to be used for this research will be waterfall. The advantages of this system are, with the creation of a website with ecommerce facility that will enable an easier way to provide services to consumers who want to buy fashion goods on Empah shop, using search engine optimization in order to increase keywords rank in search engine, and to receive payments through offline and online, such as paypal, which is a fast and safe payment method.
