Abstract

PChildren are a gift from God. Every parent hopes that their child will be born under normal circumstances. However, in reality, children are born not always under normal circumstances. Children born abnormally are called children with special needs. Children with special needs are defined as children who experience limitations or disabilities, both physical, mental-intellectual, social, and emotional, which significantly influence the growth or development process compared to other children of the same age. Autism is a very complex developmental disorder in children, which begins to appear before the age of three. This condition causes autistic children to be unable to communicate and express their desires, resulting in disrupted behavior and relationships with other people (Pratiwi, 2014). Primary data is data taken or obtained directly from respondents by means of questionnaires and interviews. Secondary data, namely data obtained from various reliable sources and related to the title, such as the organizational structure of the object of comparative study and the data can be in the form of literature studies sourced from books, the internet, journals, and previous research Basic concepts of Planning The Education Center for autistic children is planning or planning a school building that is comfortable for children with autistic disorders so that it can accommodate all the needs in the world of children's education and also the hopes of parents of their children to receive proper education even though there are limitations in planning and designing autistic education centers in cities. Kupang with its Architectural and Behavioral Approach prioritizes facilities to support the learning activities of autistic children.
