Abstract

The title of this thesis is the profile of peer relations of students in class XI Social 3 SMA Negeri 1 Atambua for the academic year 2021/2022 and its implications for the social guidance program. The formulation of the problem in this study is 1) What is the profile of peer relations of students in class XI Social 3 SMA Negeri 1 Atambua in the academic year 2021/2022? 2) What are the implications of the profile of peer relations for students of class XI Social 3 SMA Negeri 1 Atambua for the academic year 2021/2022 for the social guidance program? The purpose of the study was to find out: 1) Profile of peer relations of students in class XI Social 3 SMA Negeri 1 Atambua for the academic year 2021/2022. 2) The implications of peer relations profiles for students of class XI Social 3 SMA Negeri 1 Atambua for the academic year 2021/2022, for social guidance programs. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method with a data collection tool in the form of a questionnaire. The data analysis technique used is central trend analysis. The sample of this research is the students of class XI Social 3 SMA Negeri 1 Atambua for the academic year 2021/2022 as many as 31 students. The results of the analysis of the research data showed that the average peer relations of 168 were in the range of scores of 164-200, classified in the very good category. This can be interpreted that students of class XI Social 3 SMA Negeri 1 are very able to build relationships with peers at school. This can be seen through an attitude of harmonious cooperation in carrying out an activity, being able to adapt, being responsible for resolving a conflict with peers, being tolerant, and respecting differences between friends. In accordance with the results of the study, the researchers gave suggestions to: 1) The principal As the person in charge of educational activities at SMA Negeri 1 Atambua is expected to support all planned guidance activities at the school, so that the implementation of the social guidance program can be carried out properly so that it can help students in need. 2) Homeroom teachers and subject teachers are expected to work together and always provide information to Guidance and Counseling teachers/counselors in schools about students who show poor relations with their peers so that they are followed up in social guidance activities. 3) Guidance and Counseling teachers are expected to improve good cooperation with homeroom teachers and subject teachers so that together they help students to maintain good relations with peers at school and in the community. 4) Students are expected to be able to participate in social guidance programs that are planned and implemented in schools so that it can help them to maintain good relations with peers at school.
