Abstract

This research, entitled: Partnership Between Village Government and Traditional Leaders in Preserving Annual Local Wisdom of Fua Ton as a Guide to Life for the People of Napan Village, North Bikomi District, North Central Timor Regency. The issues raised were: how is the partnership between the village government and traditional leaders in carrying out the annual Fua Ton custom event for the Napan village community and what is the impact of local wisdom values on the way of life in the annual Fua Ton custom event for the Napan village community. The purpose of this research is to describe the local wisdom of the annual Fua Ton traditional event and to analyze the collaboration between traditional leaders and the Village Government in maintaining the annual Fua Ton event. The benefit of this research is to provide information and add insight regarding the local wisdom of the annual Fua Ton customary event in Napan Village and to add information in responding to local wisdom on customary values in preserving customary forests in Napan Village. This study uses a qualitative descriptive research method. The sample was determined using a purposive sampling technique. Sources of data in this study were taken from primary and secondary data. The data was analyzed qualitatively to find out how the partnership between the village government and traditional leaders is in carrying out the annual Fua Ton custom event for the Napan village community and what the impact of local wisdom values is as a way of life in the annual Fua Ton custom event for the Napan village community. The variable in this study is cooperation. The intended collaboration is the application of cultural values between traditional leaders and the village government in maintaining Fua Ton as a traditional tradition based on the principles of local Fua Ton wisdom by working together to preserve beliefs/beliefs in order to achieve common goals. Based on the results of the analysis, it was concluded that the partnership between the village government and traditional leaders in carrying out the annual Fua Ton custom event for the people of Napan Village by preserving the beliefs/beliefs depicted in the joint involvement between traditional leaders and the village government in carrying out Fua Ton in order to maintain traditional speech and the symbols of Fua Ton. Joint involvement between traditional leaders and the village government in implementing Fua Ton in order to keep the traditional sayings and symbols of Fua Ton maintained and preserved. Of course, this can be seen from the form of cooperation described in the participation of the three figures, namely the traditional elders, the village government and the people in Napan Village without any coercion from any party. From the results concluded, it can be recommended for the Napan Village Government to be able to maintain the continuity of the annual Fua Ton custom event, by always inviting all the people of Napan Village to remain active and participate. It is up to the parents of the Napan Village community to continue to provide good guidance and encouragement to children to maintain and preserve the continuity of the Fua Ton annual traditional event. The traditional elders or x traditional stakeholders continue to protect and embrace fellow ethnic groups to always work together in educating the people of Napan Village, especially children and youth. Always show good teachings to all the people of Napan Village so that they are free from being scattered and embracing those who are scattered.
