Abstract

This research is entitled "The role of employee engagement moderation on the influence of education level, work discipline and compensation on employee performance CV. C & A In Kupang City" by Rikardus Outniel Yunatan, NIM: 8112201052 MM, under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Vincent Gaspersz dan Dr. Henny A. Manafe, SE., MM. CV. C&A is one of the UMKM companies engaged in the production business and selling ikat weaving products and other handicraft products. The main products of the CV. C&A is a local handicraft in the form of woven fabrics and other woven combination knitted materials that are handmade from the community in Kupang City and its surroundings. As time went on, In the course of his business CV. C&A is faced with several problems, including: employees CV. C&A has an average level of education for middle and lower school alumni, and has never attended training related to UMKMs, employees are recruited unprofessionally, namely based on factors of closeness, trust, compassion and inexperience in the business world, low level of employee discipline and low company performance, employees feel that the compensation they receive has not been able to meet their needs, So it has experienced a decrease in turnover in recent years. This study aims to determine the influence of the role of employee engagement moderation on the influence of education level, work discipline and compensation on employee performance CV. C&A in Kupang City. This research uses quantitative research methods to determine the magnitude of influence between variables by testing hypotheses. The population and sample of this study were all employees who worked on the CV. C&A in Kupang City which has 64 people. Data obtained through questionnaires. The data analysis techniques used are descriptive analysis of respondents and inferential statistical analysis. The results showed that the description of the employee's level of education, compensation, Employee Engagement and employee performance on the CV. C&A is Good Enough, While the work discipline of employees CV. C&A is in the category of Not good. The results of the direct influence test, it can be seen that the level of education has a significant effect on employee performance, work discipline has an insignificant effect on employee performance. compensation has an insignificant effect on employee performance and Employee Engagement has a significant effect on employee performance. The results of the employee engagement moderation test showed that employee engagement did not moderate the effect of education level on employee performance, employee engagement moderated the effect of work discipline and compensation on employee performance CV. C&A.
