Abstract

Thesis title: the effectiveness of using role playing techniques through group guidance services to increase students' self-control in learning. The problems studied in this thesis are (1) why is the role playing technique through group guidance used to increase students 'self-control in learning? (2) What is the procedure for using role playing techniques through group guidance to increase students' self-control in learning? (3) ) Is the use of role playing techniques through group guidance effective in increasing students' self-control in learning? The purpose of writing a thesis is to (1) determine the reasons for the use of role playing techniques through group guidance to increase students' self-control in learning, (2) know the procedures for using role playing techniques through group guidance to increase student self-control in learning, (3) determine the effectiveness the use of role playing techniques through group guidance in improving students' self-control in learning. The study method used is literature study. The objects of study are (1) role playing techniques (2) group guidance and (3) students' self-control in learning. The data source used is a secondary data source. The type of data used is qualitative data. The results of the study show that role playing technique is the right technique to use to increase students' selfcontrol in learning, because students can realize and control themselves in a better direction. The technique of role playing through group guidance is carried out in four stages, namely the formation stage, the intermediate stage, the activity stage consisting of warming up, selecting participants, arranging the setting of the scene, preparing observations, acting, discussing and evaluating, re-enacting, discussion and evaluation, and sharing. experience. Role playing techniques through group guidance are effective for increasing students' self-control in learning which is evident from the articles of previous research that are relevant to the topic of this thesis. Based on the results of this thesis study, the writer gives suggestions to the (1) reader: it is hoped that they can understand and recognize the problems studied in this thesis so that they are able to provide constructive criticism and input for the author, (2) counseling teachers: it is expected to further deepen and improve skills, in applying techniques -techniques of guidance and counseling in schools, (3) further authors: it is expected to better understand the techniques in counseling guidance in order to solve problems in accordance with their scientific field.
