Abstract

The thesis entitled "The Influence of Job Satisfaction, Leadership and Work Environment on Employee Discipline at the Head Office of Kota Raja Kota Kupang", was written by Julia Roses Kadja Dahi NIM 811217123 MM, under the guidance of Dr. Stanis Man, S.E., M.Si and Dr. Simon Sia Niha, SE, M.Si. In order to achieve organizational goals, work discipline is the main thing that must be held by employees. Kota Raja Subdistrict Office is one of the sub-district offices of 6 District Offices located in the Kupang City government area, which was formed to improve coordination of government administration, public services and community empowerment. The purpose of this study was to determine: 1) Description of work discipline, job satisfaction, leadership and work environment of employees at the Head Office of Kota Raja. 2) The significance of the effect of job satisfaction on employee work discipline at the Head Office of the City of Raja. 3) The significance of the influence of leadership on the work discipline of employees at the Head Office of Kota Raja. 4) The significance of the influence of the work environment on the work discipline of employees at the Head Office of Kota Raja. The population and sample in this study were 33 employees at the Head Office of Kota Raja. The analysis technique uses descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis. The results of descriptive statistical analysis show that work discipline, job satisfaction, leadership and work environment are categorized quite good. Thus, the first hypothesis is accepted. The results of the path analysis show that 1) Job satisfaction has a significant effect on the work discipline of employees of the Kota Raja Head Office. Thus, the second hypothesis is accepted. 2) Leadership has a significant effect on the work discipline of employees of the Kota Raja Sub-district Office. Thus, the third hypothesis is accepted. 3) The work environment has a significant effect on the work discipline of employees of the Kota Raja Sub-district Office. Thus, the fourth hypothesis is accepted. Based on the results of the research obtained, it can be suggested to the management of the Head Office of Kota Raja to: 1) Increase job satisfaction, especially on financial indicators. By providing a budget for employee overtime and official travel for employees who make official visits to the community, as well as the Lurah Office or other official activities. 2) Improve the quality of leadership, especially in indicators promoting group interests. In this way, leaders make decisions that prioritize the interests of the organization or office. For example, decisions on the use of budgets and imposing sanctions on undisciplined employees, so that they are discussed with fellow leaders or structural officials and not individual decisions. 3) Improve or improve the quality of the work environment by adding work equipment, namely computers or laptops, printers, file storage cabinets.
