Abstract

The formulation of the problem in this research is 1). What is the description of the profile of Sabu Ethnic street vendors (PKL) in Oebobo District. 2). What are the supporting and inhibiting factors for the business of Sabu Ethnic street vendors (PKL). The purpose of this study was to find out the description of the Sabu Ethnic street vendors in Oebobo District and the inhibiting and supporting factors for the Sabu Ethnic street vendor business. The type of data used in this study is a type of qualitative data. Sources of data used in this study are primary data and secondary data. The data collection techniques used were observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique used in this study was to collect data in the form of Data Reduction, Data Display, Verification (Conclusion Drawing) and identify the supporting and inhibiting factors for the Sabu Ethnic Street Vendors' business. present data and draw conclusions from the data collection carried out. The results of this study indicate that there are 8 people (32%) aged 20-30 years old, 31-40 years old 7 people (28%), 41-50 years old. years as many as 8 people (32%), aged 51-60 years as many as 2 people (8%). . Length of business <= 3 years totaling 3 people or 12%, length of business 4-6 years totaling 9 people or 36%, length of business 7-9 years totaling 7 people or 28%, length of business 10-12 years totaling 5 people or 20%, and length of business > 12 years totaling 1 person or 4%. street vendors based on capital in Oebobo District, Kupang City, Capital 500,000 totaling 5 people or 20%, capital 1,000,000 totaling 12 people or 48%, capital 1,500,000 totaling 3 people or 12%, capital 2,000,000 totaling 5 people or 20%. The selling model of the Sabu Ethnic street vendors (PKL) in Oebobo District, the average selling model is the Anglai Kiosk. The supporting factors for the Sabu Ethnic street vendor business include capital, training from the government, and human resources for street vendors and the inhibiting factors are limited capital, lack of ability and lack of talent in entrepreneurship. Based on the results of the research above, this researcher provides suggestions, For the Government of the City of Kupang, the existence of street vendors is in principle one of the solutions in reducing open unemployment in the community, but their existence should receive guidance and support from the city government so that they are better managed. and developing and For street vendors, it is best to develop their business to the maximum through taking capital in financial institutions such as banks and so on.
