Abstract

The problem of stunting in TTU Regency In 2018 to 2021 the stunting rate has decreased from 51.8% to 25.3%, but in 2022 February the stunting rate has increased to 31.57%. The causes of the increase in stunting include the lack of knowledge of mothers regarding health and nutrition before and during pregnancy and after childbirth, economic factors, children's diets that are not in accordance with balanced nutrition, lack of access to clean water and sanitation, children under five do not get exclusive breastfeeding and health coverage for the community who are in the village. So that parents do not know the symptoms of stunting in their children. From the existing problems, it is necessary to make a website-based expert system application so that it can be accessed by the wider community everywhere, so as to reduce the risk of mistakes made by parents in providing first aid to their toddlers who are indicated by stunting and delays in medical treatment. The development of this system uses the forward chaining method as a search method and uses the PHP programming language and MySql Database. The results obtained are an expert system that can assist in diagnosing stunting in toddlers by providing information about diseases, symptoms and solutions for handling stunting in toddlers.
