Abstract

This thesis is entitled Performance of Village Government Apparatus in Serving the Community in Waitukan Village, West Adonara District, East Flores Regency. As for the formulation of the problem in writing this thesis, how is the performance of village government officials in serving the community in Waitukan Village, West Adonara District, East Flores Regency. The theory used in solving this problem is the theory of the performance of village government officials in serving the community and community satisfaction, seen from the quality of services provided. This research uses a descriptive method. Primary data sources are informants while secondary data sources are documents related to research variables. Data collection techniques used are interviews, direct observation, and documentation. The results show that so far the performance of the village government apparatus at the Waitukan village office has not been good, this can be seen from the aspect of (1) Work Performance that the performance of the Waitukan Village Government apparatus in the aspect of work performance, namely the speed in completing the work carried out by the Waitukan village apparatus in serving the community has going pretty well. However, there are still Waitukan village officials who are still slow in serving the community. So that awareness is needed from the Waitukan village government apparatus about the importance of serving the needs of the community. (2) Expertise In addition to speed in completing work in terms of serving the community, the Waitukan village government apparatus must also have technical capabilities in carrying out their duties. The expertise of a village government official relates to the use of equipment to make work easier. The equipment is a computer, and the internet. Village officials have also attended training to increase the capacity of village officials so that they can understand how to write correspondence using a computer, but there are some Waitukan village officials who cannot understand how to use a computer. (3) behavior In addition to expertise, the waitukan village government apparatus must also obey the regulations that have been made together. However, the discipline of the Waitukan village government apparatus has not gone well. There are still village government officials who have not been disciplined in entering the office and are disciplined in dressing. The suggestions given are (1) the Waitukan village government apparatus must improve the quality of services related to speed in serving the community so that the community does not wait long for the services provided by the village government apparatus. (2) When providing services to the community, village government officials must also be able to use computers to make work easier. (3) The Waitukan village government apparatus maintains the discipline of entering the office and the discipline of dressing and being on time regarding the hours of entering and leaving the office and also dressing in an orderly manner during working hours.
