Abstract
Thesis entitled "The Influence of Leadership and Work Environment on Employee Work Discipline mediated by Motivation variable at the Department of Cooperatives, Manpower and Transmigration of East Nusa Tenggara Province", written by Yeni Minfini NIM 8112182043/MM, supervised by Dr.Simon Sia Niha,SE, M.Si and Mrs. Anggraeny Paridy, SE, M.Si Work discipline is an important factor that also affects performance. Based on the pre-research data, information was obtained that there was a phenomenon in the discipline of the employees of the Department of Cooperatives, Manpower and Transmigration of NTT Province. . The formulation of the problem in this study are: 1) What is the description of discipline, motivation, leadership, and work environment at the Department of Cooperatives, Manpower and Transmigration of East Nusa Tenggara Province?; 2) Do leadership, work environment, motivation have a significant effect on the work discipline of civil servants at the Department of Cooperatives, Manpower and Transmigration of East Nusa Tenggara Province?; 3) Do leadership, work environment, motivation have a significant effect on the work motivation of Civil Servants at the Cooperative, Manpower and Transmigration Office of East Nusa Tenggara Province?; 4) Does Motivation mediate the influence of Leadership and Work Environment on Work Discipline of Civil Servants at the Department of Cooperatives, Manpower and Transmigration of East Nusa Tenggara Province?.The sample in this study were 75 employees at the Department of Cooperatives, Manpower and Transmigration of NTT Province. The results of the descriptive statistical analysis stated that the discipline, motivation, leadership and work environment at the Department of Cooperatives, Manpower and Transmigration of NTT Province were quite good. The results of the path analysis show that leadership has a significant effect on the discipline variable; the work environment has a insignificant effect on the discipline variable; leadership has a significant effect on the motivation variable; the work environment has a insignificant effect on the motivation variable; and motivation has a significant effect on the discipline variable. The contribution of motivation, leadership and work environment variables to discipline is 59.5%. The contribution of leadership and work environment variables to the motivation variable is 15.1%. Based on the results of this study, it can be suggested to the management of the Department of Cooperatives, Manpower and Transmigration of NTT Province to increase the predicate "Quite Good" on the variables of discipline, motivation, leadership and work environment, by: conducting evaluations and supervision, especially for employees who lack discipline; Leaders build good communication with all employees or staff; Adding printers, laptops, computers, file storage cabinets and air conditioners to support employee comfort at work; Leaders provide encouragement or encouragement to employees to be diligent in carrying out their duties.
