Abstract

The main problem of this research was What arethe results of the implementing Guided Inquiry approach to the topic of ‘pressure’ in Class VIIIC students on the Odd Semester of Sta. Maria Assumpta Catholic Junior High School Kupang on Academic Year 2017/2018? Specific research problems were: 1) How is the ability of teachers in managing the learning about pressure by implementing Guided Inquiry Approach pressure for class VIIIC students on odd semester of Sta. Maria Assumpta Catholic Junior High School Kupang of 2017/2018 Academic Year? 2) How is the achievement of learning result indicators by Class VIIIC of Sta. Maria Assumpta Catholic Junior High School Kupang Academic Year 2017/2018 in learning about pressure trough the implementation of Guided Inquiry Approach?3) How is the physics learning results about ‘pressure’ through the implementation of guided inquiry approach?4). How are the responses of VIIIC students of Sta. Maria Assumpta Catholic Junior High School Kupang of 2017/2018 academic year? 5) Do the implementation of guided inquiry approach is effective to student’s results of Class VIIIC of Sta. Maria Assumpta Catholic Junior High School Kupang of 2017/2018 Academic Year? The mainaim of this research was to describe the results of the implementation of Guided Inquiry approach about pressure in Class VIIIC students on Odd Semester of Sta. Maria Assumpta Catholic Junior High School Kupang on 2017/2018 Academic Year. Specifically, the aims of this research were: 1)to describe the ability of educators in managing the about pressure by implementing Guided Inquiry Approach in Class VIIIC students of Sta. Maria Assumpta Catholic Junior High School Kupang on2017/2018 Academic Year. 2) to describe the achievement of learning results indicators by Class VIIIC students on odd semester of Sta. Maria Assumpta Catholic Junior High School Kupang on 2017/2018 Academic Year in learning about pressure through the implementati on of Guided Inquiry approach. 3)To describe the physics learning results about ‘pressure’ through the implementation of Guided Inquiry approach. 4) to describe the responses of VIIIC students of Sta. Maria Assumpta Catholic Junior High School Kupang of 2017/2018 academic year. 5) to describe the effectiveness of Guided Inquiry Approach to the student’s results In Class VIIIC on Odd Semester of Sta. Maria Assumpta Catholic Junior High School Kupang on 2017/2018 Academic Year. The research was a descriptive research and the subjectsof this research were educators (researchers) and students of class VIIIC on odd semester at Sta. Maria Assumpta Catholic Junior High School Kupang in the Academic Year of 2017/ 2018 that consisted of 27 students. The learning tools that used in this research were Syllabus, Learning Material for Students (BAPD), Lesson Plan (RPP), StudentWork sheets (LKPD), and Studen Discussion Sheets (LDPD). Technique of data collection used were observation, test and questionnaire. The instruments that used in this research was the Observer's Sheet Learning Management, Grid-kis and Test Results Learning (THB) and Questionnaire Responses of Students. Data analysis technique of this research was descriptive analysis by calculating average values, percentages, and proportions. Based on the analysis of data descriptive studies say that the application Guided Inquiry approach was optimal tolearning about pressure for students In Class VIIIC on the Odd Semester at Sta. Maria Assumpta Catholic Junior High School Kupang that consist of 27 students. In details:The ability of educators in managing learning activities by applying Guided Inquiry approach that includes: instructional planning, implementation and evaluation of learning wasin good categories. Learning results Indicators that prepared was completed. The learning results of students was completed. The responses of students to the implementation of learning by implementing Guided Inquiry approach was in the excellent categories.The implementation of guided inquiri was effective to increase of student’s learning result.
