Abstract

This research was conducted by Deydra M. Loukameng, NIM 31117004 Development Study Program under the guidance of I Mrs. Emiliana Martuti Lawalu, SE, ME and Supervisor II Mr. Adrianus Ketmoen, SE, MM. with the title "ANALYSIS OF THE EFFECT OF GOVERNMENT EXPENDITURE IN EDUCATION AND HEALTH SECTOR ON HUMAN DEVELOPMENT INDEX IN KUPANG CITY". This study aims to determine the effect of government spending in the education sector and health sector on the human development(HDI) inKupang City in 2012-2021. The data used are secondary data obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics of Kupang City and the Regional Development and Planning Agency of Kupang City. The analysis model used is multiple regression, using Eviews9. The regression results show that the education sector government expenditure variable has a positive effect, which is 0.0002 and is statistically significant on the human development index. And the variable of government expenditure on the health sector has a negative effect, which is 0.7273 and statistically has a negative effect on the human development index in the city of Kupang.
