Abstract

This study discusses the legal protection of workers' rights to wages at the Port of Larantuka, Larantuka District, East Flores Regency. The most basic and fundamental employment problem is the achievement of protection for workers who are still being neglected and feel that they have not been resolved properly. Labor protection aims to guarantee the continuation of workers' rights. the standard of payment or wages for non-mechanical daily workers in Larantuka is stipulated by the Larantuka Port Administration Unit Office together with the East Flores Regency Government. In this determination, bargaining took place between the heads of laborers and those present at the time. This determination is not in accordance with the work performed by the workers. The formulation of the problem in this research is how is the legal protection of workers' rights to wages at the Port of Larantuka, Larantuka District, East Flores Regency. The type of research used is empirical legal research. Based on the results of the study, it shows that legal protection for labor wages at the Larantuka port has not been implemented properly. The determination of pay rates or wages has not taken into account the Labor and Wages Law. Keywords: Legal Protection of Labor Wages, Larantuka
