Abstract

The skrpsi entitled "The Leadership of Wungu Bele and Wungu Blumer Leaders in the Ga Utan Belai Ritual in Jontona Village, East Ile Ape District, Lembata Regency" aims to examine the elements of Wungu Bele and Wungu Blumer leadership in the peanut eating party ritual. This study focuses on two formulations of the problem, namely how to lead wungu bele and wungu blumer in the gautan petting ritual. The researcher adopted the theory of Kartono Leadership (2019: 39), with indicators of Traits, Habits, and Communication. The method used in this study is qualitative with a descriptive approach while the data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the leadership of wungu bele and wungu blumer played an important role in the ritual of gautan caress or peanut eating parties. Wungu bele and wungu blumer perform every stage of the peanut feast ritual so that each stage of the ritual runs well and does not experience crop failure in the coming year. Analysis of the leadership of wungu bele and wungu blumer in the gautan belai ritual refers to the indicators, namely nature, habits and communication. Based on these analyses, researchers can conclude that the leadership of wungu bele and wungu blumer in is a very important factor in leading, communicating and customary to the tribes involved to take part in peanut eating feasts, so that crop failure does not occur. Finally, in the gautan ritual, caress must be maintained and preserved.
