Abstract

This study aims (1) to determine the feasibility of modules based on local wisdom on sound wave material in increasing students' understanding of concepts (2) to determine the increase in student learning outcomes in the application of sound wave material modules based on local wisdom. The population and sample in this study were students of class XI IPA at Sint Carolus Catholic High School in the subject of Sound Waves. This study uses the Research and Development (R&D) method. The stages of this research research are (1) Research and Data Collection; (2) Planning; (3) Product Draft Development; (4) Initial Field Trials; (5) Revise the Results of the Trial (6) Field Trial. The instruments used in this study were test questions, validation sheets and student response questionnaires. The data analysis technique used is a quantitative descriptive analysis technique. The results of this study indicate that the results of module validation by 4 expert validators with an average percentage of all aspects of 88.18% are in the very feasible category to use. The N-Gain value for student learning outcomes was 79.40 in the effective category and student response data obtained an average of 70.41% in the practical product category. It can be concluded that the Physics Module for Sound Wave Material Based on Local Wisdom in Traditional Musical Instruments is developed practically so that it can be used as a source of learning in Physics learning activities at school.
