Abstract

The Temef Dam is one of the dams located in Polen and Oenino Districts, South Central Timor Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province. This dam is still in the process of being built and the target of this work is to be able to reduce flood disasters as well as use raw water, irrigation and power generation in South Central Timor Regency, North Central Timor Regency, Belu Regency, Malacca Regency and its surroundings. This study aims to analyze back whether the value of the safety factor and seepage in the body of the Temef dam. The safety factor refers to SNI 8460: 2017 regarding geotechnical planning requirements and seepage requirements should not be more than 1% of the average discharge of the river entering the reservoir. In this study using the Finite Element Method to analyze the stability and seepage in the body of the dam. This study used the help of the student version of the Plaxis V.8.6 program to analyze the stability and seepage of the dam body under flood water conditions, normal water levels, and minimum water levels. The results of the analysis with the student version of the Plaxis V.8.6 program show that the safety figure for the stability of the Temef dam body at STA 24 with a flood water level condition of 1.8821 > 1.25 (Safe), normal water level condition of 1.8865 > 1.25 (Safe) and a minimum water level condition of 1.8859 > 1.25 (Safe), then at STA 30 with a flood water level condition of 1.7538 > 1.25 (Safe), normal water level 1.8559 > 1.25 (Safe) minimum water 1.8693 > 1.25 (Safe). Seepage analysis of the Temef dam at STA 24 and STA 30 from the analysis of the student version of the Plaxis V.8.6 program shows that every water level condition is declared safe.
