Abstract

Lack of knowledge of farmers regarding the maintenance and prevention of diseases in shallot plants and the lack of availability of agricultural extension experts or experts in providing adequate information on proper handling of shallot plant diseases. So that the productivity of crop yields from year to year has decreased. From the existing problems, it is necessary to create a web-based expert system application that can help farmers diagnose diseases in shallot plants. This research uses the bayes method which can work to get correct information based on the cause. This application was built using the PHP program language and Mysql Database. The result of this research is to build an expert system that can help diagnose diseases in shallot plants without having to wait for plant experts to come. The use of this expert system can help farmers diagnose diseases in shallot plants and can provide information about diseases and symptoms in shallots to avoid the disease.
