Abstract

Twitter is one of the most popular social media platforms today and is widely used by the people of Indonesia. Twitter is also a social media to be able to express opinions or sentiments about something. The sentiment or opinion of the community can be used as an interesting thing to study. The trending topic that has been discussed is regarding scholarships, one of which is the KIP-College scholarship. This research attempts to analyze or explore the sentiments and emotions of Twitter netizens with a total of 10,012 tweet data regarding KIP-College scholarships using the Vader analysis method. The accuracy results obtained from this study by classification using Vader are 20% positive sentiment with 2063 tweets, 4% negative sentiment totaling 372 tweets, and 76% neutral sentiment with 7577 tweet data, and the results of grouping 5 clusters obtained with K-Means Clustering in this study is the greatest sentiment on k-1 Positive sentiment (0.76421543) and the smallest sentiment value on k-5 Negative sentiment (-0.70085). Then the results of the classification of emotions from 10012 tweet data using a tweet profiler with box plot visualization is that the biggest emotion is Joy with 6259 tweet data (reviews) with a percentage of 63%.
