Abstract

This study aims to overcome the problem of Acute Respiratory Infection (ARI) experienced by people with a limited number of experts. This causes difficulties for the community in consuming Acute Respiratory Infection (ARI). Besides that, there are experts or doctors whose practice hours are still limited. The solution to this problem is by designing an expert System application to diagnose Web-based Acute Respiratory Infection (ARI). The system development method used is the Expert System Life Cycle (ESLC). The stages of the ESLC method are analyzing system requirements, gathering knowledge that will be used as a knowledge base, designing system flows, conducting system testing, evaluating systems, and carrying out system maintenance. The design of this system uses the PHP programming language with MYSQL database and Forward chaining . The results of this study are an expert System application for diagnosing acne with the webbased Forward chaining method. With this application, it can help the public and doctors in diagnosing Acute Respiratory Infection (ARI) and its solutions and find out all information related to Acute Respiratory Infection (ARI).
