Abstract

This research is entitled Analysis of the Needs and Availability of Clean Water in Labuan Bajo City (Case Study in Komodo District) conducted by Anicetus Vergiliano Kaman (21118129) and guided by Mr. Agustinus H. Pattiraja, ST., MT as the first supervisor and Mr. Krisantos R. Bela, ST., MT as the second supervisor. Clean water is one of the basic human needs needed on an ongoing basis that must be met at all times, Labuan Bajo City is one of the five super priority destinations being developed in Indonesia (setkab.go.id/). This destination is the gateway to Komodo National Park which holds stunning natural beauty and ancient animals that are worldwide. With visitors arriving, the need for clean water for each village is also increasing and is not the same depending on the cluster of the village. This study aims to determine the need and availability of clean water needed by the people of Labuan Bajo City until 2031. This research uses a quantitative descriptive method. The data used include population data for the last 10 years, data on the number of customers for the last 5 years, clean water usage data for PERUMDA Wae Mbeliling customers in the Labuan Bajo City service area for the last 5 years, and rainfall data and climate data for the last 10 years. The results of this research found that the need for clean water in Labuan Bajo City according to the projected population growth of Labuan Bajo City is 0.022 M³ / second, while according to the projected growth in the number of PERUMDA Wae Mbeliling customers in the Labuan Bajo City service area is 0.055 M³ / second. The availability of clean water sources from the Wae Mese river raw water source is still able to meet clean water needs until 2031. This is evidenced by the results of the analysis of clean water availability (Calculating the Availability of Water in the Wae Mese River Using the FJ Mock Method) is 2.725 M³ / second.
