Abstract
The learning crisis has increased due to the Covid-19 pandemic which has caused learning loss and increased learning gaps. The Teaching Campus includes learning in all subjects that focus on literacy and numeracy. In the Teaching Campus program, a test will be carried out, namely the Minimum Competency Assessment (AKM). The focus of AKM is cognitive literacy and numeracy skills. The purpose of this study was to determine students' literacy and numeracy abilities and improve their literacy and numeracy skills through the teaching campus program at Tiga Putra Kupang Middle School both before and after implementing the teaching campus program through the Class AKM test. This type of research is descriptive qualitative with a research design that is one-group pretest-posttest design. The research subjects were teachers (researchers) and class VIII students, totaling 2 students who took the Class AKM test. The results of the study showed that the literacy and numeracy skills of SMP Tiga Putra Kupang students were still very low and had not increased either before or after the teaching campus student work programs. Factors causing the low literacy and numeracy abilities of students at Tiga Putra Kupang Middle School include: 1) Limited reading facilities and infrastructure such as a library that is not functioning and also very few reading books. 2) Students' interest in learning is very low both inside and outside of school. 3) Lack of concern for the tasks assigned by teachers and campus students to teach. 4) Lack of support from parents to provide reading books to support their children studying at home. 5) The preparation for implementing the AKM Class test has not been maximized and there is a lack of socialization of the importance of Class AKM and the provision of practice questions related to literacy and numeracy in class has not been optimal.
