Abstract
This research is entitled Empowerment of Women Weaving Craftsmen Through Inheritance Patterns and Skills in Weaving Woven Fabrics in Teun Village, Raimanuk District, Belu Regency. The formulation of the problem in writing this thesis is how to Empower Women Craftsmen Through Patterns of Inheritance of Knowledge and Skills in Weaving Woven Fabrics in Teun Village, Raimanuk District, Belu Regency. The theory used by researchers in solving this research problem is empowerment of groups of craftsmen. This study used descriptive qualitative method. Primary data sources are informants while secondary data are documents related to research variables. Data collection techniques used are interviews, observation, and documentation. The data analysis stage is carried out through data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions and verification, then analyzing the credibility of the data. The results of this study indicate that (1) potential, namely the ability and strength of a group of compassionate woven craftsmen in Teun Village, Raimanuk District, Belu Regency which can develop if there is a training to improve weaving skills which has been carried out by the Belu District Industry and Trade Office. (2) Process and results, namely an effort carried out by a group of woven craftsmen from the love of Teun Village in producing woven fabrics so that they get good results and the results can be traded. (3) Empowerment and Partners aspects, namely part of the role and efforts of the Teun Village Government, Raimanuk District, Belu Regency to empower groups of weaving craftsmen, one of which is how the Teun Village Government manifests the interest of the next generation of young people, especially women, to participate in these weaving activities. Because based on the results of the research that has been done, the researchers encountered not only problems related to funding or initial capital for a business, but there are also problems faced by woven woven craftsmen, namely the lack of interest from the younger generation of women. Based on the results of the analysis above, the authors conclude that the pattern of inheritance of woven cloth weaving skills that should be passed on from the older generation to the younger generation has not gone well, this can be seen by the lack of interest of the younger generation in weaving activities.
