Abstract

This thesis is entitled: The Role of Local Government in Supporting Shorinjikempo Martial Sports Achievements in East Flores Regency. The purpose of this study is to describe and analyze the role of the local government in supporting the achievements of Shorinjikempo martial arts in East Flores Regency with the formulation of the problem How does the Regional Government develop and support the achievements of Shorinjikempo Martial Arts athletes in East Flores Regency? The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The informant determination technique used is purposive sampling. The operational variables used are the Facilitator and the Dynamist. The results of the study show that: In the aspect of the facilitator. Viewed from the implementation, this is certainly not appropriate in the field because in terms of funding and sports infrastructure, they have not been given proper attention. In the dynamic aspect, findings in the field show that: Based on the results of research in the field, the government has not carried out its role as a dynamic driver in sports activities properly. The conclusion in this study is that the role of the local government as a facilitator and dynamist in managing shorinjikempo sports affairs in East Flores Regency has not been given proper attention. The author's suggestion is that the role of the local government in managing the shorinjikempo martial arts sport in East Flores Regency should be given more attention so that young people in East Flores Regency can develop in achievement.
