Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of emotional intelligence and independence of learning on mathematics learning achievement of students of class X Geomatika SMKN 2 Kupang. The type of research is quantitative research with multiple regression analysis technique. The population in this study were students of class X geomatics technique SMK 2 Negeri Kupang academic year 2017/2018 and the sample in this study were all students from the population of 32 people. The sampling technique uses saturated technique. Data collection techniques used questionnaires and mathematics achievement tests. Data analysis was done by using SPSS 22 for windows program. From the output of SPSS 22 for windows, based on the test of normality, linearity, and multikollinearitas, emotional intelligence and learning independence have an influence on the learning of mathematics. In the multiple regression analysis of emotional intelligence and learning independence have an influence on the achievement of learning mathematics, and obtained regression equation Y = 9,477 + 0.032X_1 + 1.314X_2 and the value F_hitung = 3.445> 3.33 = F_tabel then rejected H_o, meaning there is the influence of emotional intelligence and selfreliance learning on the mathematics learning achievement of class X geomatika SMKN 2 Kupang. Based on the output of SPSS 22 for windows, the F test of emotional intelligence and independence of learning influence on mathematics learning achievement and t test, emotional intelligence has no effect on mathematics learning achievement while the independence of learning affects the achievement of learning mathematics. Based on the result of the research, the researcher concludes that there is no partially significant influence of emotional intelligence on mathematics learning achievement of grade X Geomatika SMKN 2 Kupang students. There is partially significant influence from the independence of learning toward mathematics learning achievement of grade X Geomatika SMKN 2 Kupang students.
