Abstract

In the learning of teachers are still difficult to enable students to learn, so that the learning process has not met the standard process as expected. This leads to a low quality of learning characterized by low learning outcomes. One way to improve students' learning outcomes is to apply a learning model that can enable students in the learning process, here the researchers apply cooperative learning model approach Numbered Heads Together and hink pair shre This study aims to determine the effect of applying cooperative learning model approach Numbered Heads Together and Think Pair Share on student learning outcomes class VIII On the subject matter of photosynthesis At SMPN 2 kupang Academic Year 2016/2017. This research type is quasi experimental research with research design non equivalent control group design. Data were collected through observation and tests. The data were analyzed quantitatively using descriptive and inferential statistics including normality test and homogeneity test with the help of SPSS version 16,0 with significant level of 0.01. The results showed that the learning outcomes of pretest and posttest students by applying cooperative learning model of Numbered Heads Together approach were 51 and 76.83, respectively. While for student learning result before pretest and after posttest by applying cooperative learning model of Think Pair Share approach each is 52,83 and 79,17. The influence of the implementation of cooperative learning model Numbered Heads Together approach and Think Pair Share is indicated by the results of the normality test with Kolmogorov-Smirnov techniques in class Numbered Heads Together approach is pretest posttest 0.11 and 0.78 while in class approach to Think Pair Share is pretest 0 , 25 and posttest 0.55. This shows the normality test of both normal approaches because the results of pretest and posttest values are more than significant 0.01. Homogeneity test of the pretest and posttest approach Numbered Heads Together and Think Pair Share ie, 0.103 and 0.935 the results showed the presence of homogeneity because hasinya higher than the 0.01 significance level. The conclusion from the result of this research shows that there is influence of applying cooperative learning model approach Numbered Heads Together and Think Pair Share to student learning result SMPN 2 Kupang Academic Year 2016/2017. It can be seen from the comparison of probability value (sig.) 0,01 with alpha value where alpha value (sig.) 0,00 <probability value (sig.) 0,01.
