Abstract

Taxis are a public transportation tool that is currently widely used by the community to make it easier to carry out daily activities such as work, school, etc. Services on the ordering system now provided by Gogo Taxi City of Kupang are considered to be still less effective for consumers in making taxi bookings. At this time the taxi booking still uses the telephone received by the operator who then manually records the order and then broadcasts to the taxi stand closest to the customer, this is ineffective and can cause errors due to the seizure in picking up customers. To answer these problems, there needs to be a development that is made, namely using smartphones as media through an Android-based taxi booking application. The system development method used is the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC). The stages are planning, analysis, design, implementation, system testing, and system management. Supporting software in designing applications is Android Studio, and Xampp Server. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that with this application, it can help consumers Gogo Taxi in making taxi reservations. Consumers can also find out which taxi driver is close to the location of the consumer.
