Abstract

The rapid development of globalisation certainly provides opportunities and convenience for all student activities in the workplace. However, realizing that resources are needed for the advancement of globalization is also essential. especially competent human resources, because competition is something that is highly emphasized in this development. Universities are an important place in creating quality human resources, so there needs to be adequate attention to support all development processes for students, especially in relation to job readiness, because with job readiness students who are equipped with creativity, organizational activeness and soft skills can support the emergence of good performance. Using soft skills as an intervening variable, the aim of this study is to investigate the effects of creativity and student organization activiness on job preparation among students at the College of Pastoral Sciences in the Kupang Archdiocese. Research of this kind is quantitative in nature. There were sixty responders in the study's population and sample. The two forms of data used in this study were secondary data, which came from interviews and the results of a literature review, and primary data, which came from questionnaires. The techniques for analyzing data that are used are descriptive and inferential statistics. The inferential statistical analysis revealed that soft skills positively and significantly affect job readiness (Y), creativity (X1) positively and significantly affects soft skills (Z), and student organization activiness (X2) positively and significantly affects soft skills (Z) but not job readiness (Y). The mediation test's results demonstrate that soft skills have the capacity to mediate the effects of student organization activines and creativity on work preparedness. The adjusted R-Squared value for soft skills (Z) is 0.445 and job readiness (Y) is 0.519, which means that the creativity and student organization activinessvariables contribute moderately to soft skills with a value 44.5%. Meanwhile, the variables creativity, student organization activinessand soft skills also contribute moderately to job readiness with a value of 51.9%.
