Abstract

In an effort to provide information to the public about SMK Negeri Witihama, the current process involves the use of poster media posted on bulletin boards at the school location. In addition, information is also disseminated using WhatsApp, Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram. However, this information dissemination process has not yet provided an optimal level of accuracy in conveying information. To address this issue, the creation of a special promotional information system for SMK Negeri Witihama is needed. In the development of this system, the method applied in this project is the software engineering approach using the Waterfall model. The development process follows the stages of the Waterfall model, involving requirement analysis, system design, program code writing, program testing, and implementation. This system platform is web-based, and its implementation is done through Sublime Text with XAMPP connection. The programming language used is PHP, while database management uses MySQL. The result of this research is the development of a promotional information system. Its function is to provide detailed information about the profile of SMK Negeri Witihama and manage New Student Admission (PPDB) data as well as student data. With this promotional information system, SMK Negeri Witihama will be more recognized by everyone
