Abstract

This thesis entitled "Analysis of Factors Affecting Nurse Compliance in Monitoring Early Warning Score in Patients in the Inpatient Room of Dedari Kupang Mother and Child Hospital" was written by Kevin Jodjana, NIM 811212008, supervised by Dr. Henny A. Manafe, SE, MM as Main Supervisor and Dr.M.E.Perseveranda, SE, M.Si as Member Supervisor. The purpose of this study was to determine and analyze the factors that affect nurse compliance in monitoring Early Warning Score in the inpatient room of Dedari Kupang Mother and Child Hospital. Early Warning Score is a guide used by health workers to evaluate the patient's condition with the aim of reducing the incidence of Code Blue and improving early treatment for patients. Nurse compliance plays an important role in supporting patient safety with the attitude of being quick to respond and act. The type of data used in this study is quantitative data using a list of statements, with the aim of testing hypotheses that have been set in the form of questionnaires. The research sample used was all 40 inpatient room nurses at Dedari Kupang Mother and Child Hospital. Data analysis techniques in this study use descriptive statistics and inferential statistics in the form of a list of statements compiled based on indicators of each variable tested including nurse compliance, nurse attitude, nurse knowledge, nurse motivation, nurse age, nurse work experience, and nurse Early Warning Score training. Research tools using SPSS. The results showed that the picture of nurse compliance, nurse attitude, nurse age, nurse work experience, and nurse Early Warning Score training showed very good results. Meanwhile, nurses' knowledge and nurses' motivation show good results. The results of inferential statistical analysis showed a positive and significant influence between nurse attitude, nurse knowledge, nurse motivation, nurse age and work experience on nurse compliance. While Early Warning Score training in nurses has a negative and significant effect on nurse compliance. Based on the results of the study, it was suggested that hospitals need to socialize and remind nurses in monitoring EWS, and conduct periodic evaluations of skills in assessment and follow-up of EWS scores or scores.
