Abstract

The thesis is entitled "The Influence of Transformational Leadership, Employee Competency, and Organizational Culture on Employee Performance through Work Motivation as an Intervening Variable at the Kupang Class III Harbormaster and Port Authority Office." written by Welhelmus Daniel Dami NIM (811211065), and supervised by Dr. Simon Sia Niha, SE, M.Si and Dr. Agapitus H. Kaluge., M.Pd The purpose of this research is to determine the perspective of respondents regarding Employee Performance, Work Motivation, Transformational Leadership, Employee Competency, and Organizational Culture at the Kupang Class III Harbormaster and Port Authority Office. Then, an influence test was carried out regarding the variables contained in it, with work motivation as the mediating variable and employee performance as the dependent variable. The sampling technique was carried out by means of a census of 97 employee respondents at the Class III Kupang Harbormaster and Port Authority Office. The results of descriptive statistical analysis show that Employee Performance, Work Motivation, Transformational Leadership, Employee Competency and Organizational Culture at the Class III Kupang Harbormaster and Port Authority Office is good. The results of inferential statistical testing show that Transformational Leadership, Employee Competency, and Organizational Culture have a significant effect on employee work motivation; Employee Work Motivation has a significant effect on employee performance; Work Motivation mediates the influence of Transformational Leadership, Employee Competency and Organizational Culture on employee performance at the Kupang Class III Harbormaster and Port Authority Office. The contribution of Transformational Leadership, Employee Competency and Organizational Culture to Employee Work Motivation is 91.6%; while the rest is influenced by variables not included in this model. The contribution of Transformational Leadership, Employee Competency, Organizational Culture, and Work Motivation of 90.5% to Employee Performance is influenced by variables not included in this model. It can be recommended to the Kupang Class III Harbormaster and Port Authority Office to maintain and if possible increase employee work motivation and performance by paying attention to Transformational leadership, Employee Competency and Organizational Culture at the Kupang Class III Harbormaster and Port Authority Office. Researchers who will research the Kupang Class III Harbormaster and Port Authority Office can choose variables other than the variables that researchers have carried out for the progress of the Kupang Class III Harbormaster and Port Authority Office
