Abstract

This thesis is entitled The Role of Village Government in Empowering Farmer Groups in Putun Village, Nunkolo District, South Central Timor Regency. The problem formulation in writing this thesis is "What is the Role of the Village Government in Empowering Farmer Groups (Poktan) in Putun Village, Nunkolo District, South Central Timor Regency? The aim of this research is the Role of Village Government in Empowering Farmer Groups (Poktan) in the Village Putun, Nunkolo District, South Central Timor Regency. The theory used researchers empowerment. The research method used is descrptive qualitative. The technique for determining informants used in this research is a purposive technique. The results of this research show; The role of the Village Government in Empowering Farmer Groups in Putun Village, Nunkolo District, South Central Timor Regency is carried out by (1) Ease of access to capital. Ease of Access to Capital is an action taken by the Putun Village Government to accelerate the welfare of farmer group businesses (Poktan) in the form of capital assistance/ finance, marketing of agricultural products, as well as educational scholarships for poor farming families. (2) Assistance for the development of infrastructure, namely the role of the village government in empowering farmer groups, paying more attention to facilities and infrastructure, agricultural tools and agricultural land. (3) Business Development, Marketing and Business Partnerships Business Development, Marketing and Business Partnerships are efforts carried out by the Village Government Putun provides positive and real support to the businesses of farmer groups (Poktan) in Putun village through business development, product marketing and collaboration with vegetable entrepreneurs. Based on the results of the analysis, the author concludes that the role of the Village Government in Empowering Farmer Groups in Putun Village, Nunkolo District, South Central Timor Regency is still very lacking, but the Putun Village Government must pay more attention to the needs of farmer groups, in this case, ease of access to capital and assistance in building facilities. and infrastructure for Business Development, Marketing and Business Partnerships so that every farmer group's needs can be met.
