Abstract

The problem encountered in the field is that in the chemistry learning process, literature books are still limited, so there are still students who do not have a handbook. The problem formulation of this research is how is the validity of the buffer solution material pocket book media? What are the student learning outcomes after using the buffer solution material as a pocket book? And how do class XI Ipa C Students respond after using pocket book media?.The aim of this research is tho determine the validation of the chemistry pocket book media with buffer solution material, student learning outcomes after using the chemistry pocket book media with buffer solution material and to determine students’ responses to the chemistry pocket book media being developed. The research method used is development research (Research & Development) with the ADDIE development model with the stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluatio. The data collection technique used is the validity of pocket book media, learning outcomes and student responses. The instruments used are the Media Validation Sheet, the Buffer Solution Material Handbook, Quiz Sheet, Assignment Sheet, Test Sheet, and Student Response Questionnaire. The results of this research are that the chemistry pocket book media that was developed is valid for implementation in the field, student learning outcomes after using the chemistry pocket book media that were developed were very good. The conclusion of this research is that the chemistry pocket book media developed is very valid to be implemented in the field with a validity percentage of 85% so it suitable for use by class in the complete category, the average score obtained was 88,67% and student responses in learning using chemistry pocket books werw classified in the very good category with a percentage obtained of 91%.
