Abstract

In this era, the advancement of science and technology is propelling humanity towards the digital age. Technology is permeating and entering every aspect of life, including the realm of religion. The field of religion entails the study of spirituality or belief systems. In Indonesia, six religions/belief systems are practiced: Islam, Catholic Christianity, Protestant Christianity, Hinduism, Buddhism, and Confucianism. Christianity has sacred places of worship called churches. The Evangelical Christian Church in Timor (GMIT) Imanuel Beumopu is one of the Protestant Christian churches located at Jl. Yohanes Fanggi, Lasiana Village, Kelapa Lima District, Kupang City, East Nusa Tenggara Province (NTT). In providing services to the congregation, GMIT Imanuel Beumopu has formed an organization called the council. However, the council often faces issues such as inaccuracies in disseminating information to the congregation, incomplete congregation records, time-consuming information delivery, and the printed congregation bulletin not meeting the number of attendees, while congregational challenges include difficulty in obtaining clear information from the church. Therefore, this research endeavors to develop an Information System for the Evangelical Christian Church in Timor (GMIT) Imanuel Beumopu based on a website to assist the council in addressing the church's challenges and aiding the congregation in receiving timely and accurate information from the church. The methodology employed in system development is Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD) using Unified Modeling Language (UML) modeling. The system is tested using the black-box method to ensure smooth functionality. The outcome is a website offering solutions to the challenges faced by the council and congregation of GMIT Imanuel Beumopu.
