Abstract

Thesis entitled "The Influence of Capital Structure, Sales Growth, Liquidity and Working Capital Turnover on the Profitability of Mining Companies Listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange in 2017-2021", written by Netry Veronika Nomleny. NIM 8112201043 MM, under the guidance of Dr. Stanis Man, SE., M.Si as the first supervisor and Drs. Ec. Sabinus Hatul, MM as the second supervisor. This research aims to determine the influence of capital structure, sales growth, liquidity and working capital turnover on the profitability of mining companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). The type of research used in this research is quantitative research. The population in this research is mining companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2017-2021, totaling 43 companies. In this research, Purvosive Sampling was used. The type of data used in this research is secondary data. The data collection technique in this research was carried out by means of documentation through annual financial report files by companies registered as mining companies on the IDX in 2017-2021 in the form of a soft copy. The results of this research show that: (1) Capital Structure has a significant positive effect on the profitability of mining companies listed on the IDX in 2017-2021. (2) Sales growth has a significant positive effect on the profitability of mining companies listed on the IDX in 2017-2021. (3) Liquidity has a significant positive effect on the profitability of mining companies listed on the IDX in 2017-2021. (4) Working Capital Turnover has a significant positive effect on the profitability of mining companies listed on the IDX in 2017-2021. (5) Capital Structure, Sales Growth, Liquidity and Working Capital Turnover simultaneously have a significant positive effect on the profitability of mining companies listed on the IDX in 2017-2021. Based on the research results, it is recommended that company managers should be able to consider the funding decisions they will take, whether using their own capital or debt. And for company management, if they are going to use financing, the company should pay attention to the level of liquidity and sales growth.
