Abstract

Study of Local Wisdom Values of Takanab Traditional Oral Speech Traditions in Noepesu Village for the Formation of Children's Character Through Guidance and Counseling Services. The aim of this research is to determine the meaning or values contained in the local wisdom of the oral tradition of Takanab traditional speech in Noepesu Village for the formation of children's character through guidance and counseling services. The method used in this research is a descriptive qualitative method. The research subjects were traditional elders in Noepesu Village who really understood the traditional spoken language of Takanab. The techniques used for data collection were semi-structured interviews, observation and documentation studies. Data analysis uses data reduction, data display and data verification. The research results show that the local wisdom of the oral tradition of Takanab traditional speech has meanings or values such as moral, religious and cultural values. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that honesty, integrity, compassion, fairness, responsibility, devotion, justice, forgiveness, tolerance, courtesy, humility, respect, appreciation, listening, recognition, empathy, sympathy and discipline are values which is implied in the traditional Takanab speech. These values can be used as a basis for children's character education through information services, group guidance services, group counseling services and individual counseling services in the implementation of culture-based guidance and counseling services.
